Victoria Pendleton Welcomed Home by the Town of Stotfold
The tiny Bedfordshire town of Stotfold welcomed home its Olympic heroine, when Victoria Pendleton received a civic reception and the whole town turned out to see her. Team GB Cycle sprint Gold medallist and one of the 'glamour girls' of UK Sport, Victoria grew up in Stotfold and only moved away recently to live and train near the velodrome in Manchester.
She was presented with a plaque and a magnum of champagne by town Mayor Brian Collier as a token of the town's appreciation of what she has achieved
