Anaheim 10/03/2005 - EARS TO 50 YEARS - - Disneyland, ÒThe Mickey Mouse ClubÓ and the Mouseketeers - - three American pop culture icons - - share their 50th anniversaries in 2005 and ten of the original Mouseketeers from the classic 1950s TV series returned to Disneyland on Monday, October 3, to celebrate their golden milestone. In front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Mouseketeers unveiled the worldÕs largest pair of ÒMouseketeer Ears,Ó comprised of nearly 1,000 ÒHonoraryÓ Mouseketeers. ÒThe Mickey Mouse ClubÓ premiered on October 3, 1955. The salute honoring ÒThe Mickey Mouse ClubÓ is just one of many memorable moments taking place during the 18-month 50th anniversary celebration as it kicks into high gear and continues throughout 2006.
