Copa del Rey Soccer Game - Real Madrid Vs. Alcorcon
Real Madrid suffered an embarrasing exit from the Copa del Rey last night as they were unable to overturn a first-leg deficit against minnows Alcorcon.
The "La Liga" giants had been humiliated in the first-leg when Segunda Division B side Alcorcon crushed them 4-0. Nevertheless some Real Madrid stars issued rallying calls declaring the tie not dead. Now though, having only been able to win 1-0 at the Bernabeu, they have been dumped out of the cup, losing 4-1 on aggregate.
For Alcorcon the match-up has been a memorable victory and the story of their defeat of a side with a budget for this year of 420 miilion Euros will live long at the Segunda Division B minnows.
