London, UK. Hilary Mantel at a photocall for the Man Booker Prize nominees, held at the Hatchards Book Store London.
British Prime Minister David Cameron has condemned the award winning author Hilary Mantel after she allegedly called the Duchess of Cambridge a "plastic princess".
Her assessment of Kate Middleton apparently holds that she is a '"shop window mannequin" free of any personality and chosen solely to produce an heir to the throne.
She added that the Duchess is a "machine made" Princess who has been "designed by committee" but lacking the cleverness of Anne Boleyn or Princess Diana's ability to transform herself into an avenging wraith.
